Distributionupdated 8/26/2026

Ready to share your music with the world? This guide walks you through creating a new release, adding all the required information, and submitting it to digital streaming platforms through Interfine Music.

Before You Start

Before creating your release, make sure you have:

Your audio files in the required format.

  • High-quality cover artwork.
  • Release information, including title, artists, genre, and language.
  • Copyright and licensing information.
  • Your preferred release date.

Step 1: Create a New Release

Log in to your Interfine Music account.
Go to Catalog > Releases.
Click Create Release.
Choose the release type:
Single
EP
Album

A new release draft will be created where you can add all the required information.

Step 2: Complete the Release Information

Fill in the required release details, including:

Release title
Primary artist and featured artists
Record label (or artist name if independent)
Primary and secondary genres
Language
Release type (Single, EP, or Album)
Cover artwork
Explicit content (if applicable)

If you do not already have a UPC, Interfine Music can assign one automatically during the distribution process.

Step 3: Add Licensing Information

Enter the licensing details for your release, including:

Digital release date
Original release date (if previously released)
Copyright owner (©)
Sound recording owner (℗)
Rights holder
Distribution territories

Choose the release date carefully. Most streaming platforms take 2–15 days to publish new releases after they have been approved.

Step 4: Upload Your Tracks

Add the tracks for your release by:

Uploading new audio files from your computer, or
Selecting existing tracks from your catalog.

Review each track carefully and complete all required metadata before proceeding.

Step 5: Preview Your Release

Before submitting your release:

Verify all metadata.
Confirm your artwork and track information.
Ensure spelling, artist names, and release dates are correct.

Making corrections before distribution helps avoid delays during the review process.

Step 6: Submit for Distribution

When everything is complete:

Click Distribute Release.

Select the streaming platforms where you want your music to appear.
Review your distribution request.
Confirm and submit.

Your release will then be sent for quality review before being delivered to the selected platforms.

Track Your Distribution Status

After submission, you can monitor the progress of your release from the History tab.

Common statuses include:

Pending Review – Your release is awaiting quality review.
Approved – Your release has passed review.
Processing – Your release is being delivered to streaming platforms.
Completed – Distribution has been successfully processed.

Once completed, your music should appear on streaming services within 2–15 days, depending on each platform.
